It seems Volvo seam sealed the doors with them on the car,as there is none on the hinge side of the doors.

You have to work quickly, shoot it in,wipe it down, and pull the tape.
Then it flows out nicely.

Doors go back on,and the front end goes up in the air.

Poking at it with a stick again to pop the dings out.
They would send me home before the 10:00 break in a body shop, but I'm having fun doing my thing.

Surfbrick brings by some trick bondo that sticks to roughed up [ # 80 grit ] paint, instead of bare metal.

A bit on the C pillar to float the 1/4 weld repair.
They had it on an eighth of an inch thick here,I don't know why.

Popping the metal back up kept the filler thickness down to about a half millimeter.
One has to be very careful not to create/leave a high spot especially on a big panel or it will never look right.

I noticed that I had gotten the Fiberall and bondo pretty close on most of what I did.
The tailgate needed some love though.

Jasco 15 minute paint remover gets most of the paint off.
You can also see the corrosion that the scratches and chips in the paint started.

The money shot, where the wet primer starts to show if it's good or not, and blends the confusion of a work in progress to that of a work succeeding..

Three thumbs up.

These wheels OK to use on aluminum, or is the Jasco/80 grit better?
Next round of painting on the wagon I want to do closer to right.

I wouldn't want to put strong chemicals on a part I couldn't completely disassemble and clean.

I chose the stripper to reduce the amount of time and lead based paint dust.

You realize my friend that you are giving away in these threads of yours some of the most thorough and detailed auto body repair training available anywhere?

I don't know if I'm more amazed at the consistent quality of your work, or the time and effort you take to put it up for us.

Thank you.

cheers

Got the paint bill today. $1378.00

I wanted good paint and Standox isn't cheap.
