| I bought this 82 245 GLT from a member to be my new work rig. Yes the commandos will stay this is not a girly man car. Version Seven 'The 82 Turbo' 82 245 GLT / M 46 V - 1 'The Sopwith Camel' 1971 145 S / BW 35 V - II 'Blacknose' 86 245 DL / M46 V - III 'The Blue Mule' 87 245 DL / AW 70 V - IV 'Seafoam' 72 145 E / M 40 V - V 'The gold car' Making frequent guest appearances in the fray is Mom's car. 87 245 DL / AW 70 V - VI 'The Turbo Car' 83 245 GLT / M46 IPD Sway Bars & Overload springs are always the first modifications. 25-25's EMT Upper braces help too. All go no show. Blacknose was quite the beast,I did several $5 mods. That is $5 worth of hardware and what have you. Here is a stainless belly pan,and air pickup made from an old BBQ hood. The 86+ 2 main belt/stack of washers, and longer bolts AC Delete. Some R Sport Boost Goodness for the 83. OE Goodies A bit of help for the 82 turbo fire wall harness. Snow Scoop to increase ventilation underway, and just because I can. Double Squirter Flat Hood Transplant. 5 New Falken Ziex 912's in 195-65-15 on Polished Virgos provide a balance of grip, fuel economy, and ground clearance. Use The Best Forget the Rest. Black Interior swap from the 83 into the 82 and vice versa. A bit of butt cheek R & R on the 83. Since it's wintertime the drop light is underneath warming the metal so the paint goes off properly. Strips of grip tape from West Marine keep the spare from burning through the paint. Rattlecan! Don't worry. It's inside, and it's epoxy. The 82 turbo came with quite a few IPD items. Scored a 90 245 flush glass liftgate in color #189 white on 30% off body panels week at the JY. Some balla huevos complete the look. | |

| White gloves tell of the surgical precision throughout.
My 144 was the same color as your 145, I wish I could have kept it longer. | |

| A stripe eraser or toffee wheel removes the residual glue, and backing without any paint damage if you keep it moving a bit so it doesn't heat the paint up. | |

| Rear drivers side 1/4 window removal. Seal is pried back, and propped up. Feet push the glass out to a helper. Once the bottom is out the window is pulled down and forward to keep the seal and the window together. | |

| Window track pivot clips, and nylon washers. The lip of the clip is lifted, and the square end is pushed off the stud inside the door. You will not really be able to see them inside the door so it is helpful to know how they work. | |

| Got the commandos off today. The front narrow top bumper filler trim clips had to be picked apart from the inside after the bumper was removed with a needle nose pliers to release the aluminum strips without bending them. The integral rubber filler trim tabs [teats] of the bumper filler trim need to be wetted, wiggled, and stuffed through the holes so they don't rip off. On the back there are 2 corner brackets with 10mm nuts inside just below the tail lights,a galvanized strip, 3 clips across the center, and 2 more integral rubber tabs at each end through the body. | |
